    Description

    Weichai R6160 series marine diesel engine is as new generation of 6160 series which is developed by WEICHAI to meet the requirement of market. This product integrates the internationally-advanced engine design conception, boasting wide power range, low fuel consumption and excellent emission targets.

    The design of the R6160 is based on the conception of better performance, low consumption, and convenient operation. The main alteration includes:

    Optimizing and improving the fuel system, intake and exhaust system, cooling system, lubrication system and starting system on the basis of original 6160 series;

    Adopting such advanced device as wet oil pan, electrical pre-supply fuel pump, electric starting motor and sea-fresh water heat exchanger;

    While inheriting strongpoint of the original 6160, the performance is improved and the fuel consumption is more lower (no more than 205g/kW.h);

    The operation is simplified: There is no need to pump oil manually while starting the engine.

    This 6160 series diesel engine, designed out of brand new conception, has reached internationally advanced position.

    The speed of R6160 series marine diesel engine is 1000r/min with a power range of 164kW(223hp) ~ 330kW(450hp).

    The marine engine is divided into left engine and right engine, making it convenient to operate in the same engine room. While facing the flywheel, the flywheel of the right engine rotates counterclockwise and the left engine rotates clockwise. The right engine is generally used when single engine is applied.

    Structure Advantages

    Thickened crankshaft

    The material of the crankshaft is high strength spherulitic graphic iron which has gone through unitizing treatment. The diameter of the main axle increases from Φ125mm to Φ130mm. The strength, rigidity as well as the wear resistance are all got enhanced, making the operation more reliable and service life much longer.

    Wet oil pan

    The adopting of the wet oil pan makes it unnecessary to add additional oil tank. Therefore, the installation, maintenance and the repair become more convenient.

    P injection pump

    The adopting of P injection pump brings along high reliability and good economy.

    Electric motor

    The remote starting can be realized with the help of the electric motor.

    Water jacket exhaust pipe

    The engine room can be kept at a low temperature by the means of water jacket exhaust pipe.

    Electric pre-supply fuel pump

    The automatic fuel pre-supply can be realized with the adopting of the electric pre-supply fuel pump.

    Starting control box

    The instrument monitoring protection system can display the speed of the engine. When the controlled parameter overruns the limit, it will alarm or stop the engine automatically. The control protection device can be mounted in the engine room or the cab according to the requirement of the customers.

    R6160 Marine diesel engine set

    We can supply R6160 series engine set fitted with 300 and J300 gearbox with the ratio of 2:1, 2.5:1, 3:1, 3.5:1 and 4:1.

    Performance Advantages

    Wide power range. The power of the R6160 series diesel engine ranges from 164kW to 330kW.

    Low fuel consumption. The fuel consumption of the R6160 sereis is no more than 205g/kW.h. the fuel consumption curve is low and the emission targets are particularly advanced. Under rated working condition, the value of smoke intensity is about 1 dB(A). Emission meets the EIAPP standard.

    Convenient operation and maintenance. Engine seating structure makes it much easier for repairing, thus decrease the amount of work.
